Install in VM

Create a new custom virtual machine

Here, first choose to install later, and select the corresponding Ubuntu in the following system type. The number of processors and memory size are configured according to your own physical machine. The network connection method generally uses the Net transfer method, and the hard disk type is generally default. According to the configuration of your own physical machine,



you usually choose to split it into multiple files.

Start the virtual machine

Select the language on the left, and then the installation will be relatively simple

Confirm to continue the installation,

select the location at will ,

configure the user

, wait for the installation to complete and restart


, prompt to remove the installation medium and then restart


. After checking the connection at startup, start the Ubuntu virtual machine

Install Vm Tools

The installation disk of VmTools pops up on the desktop

After opening, copy the installation document VMwareTools-10.3...tar.gz to the virtual machine, any location is fine, I copied it directly to the main directory to understand the

decompression file, enter the decompressed directory, open the terminal

to use Command sudo ./vmware-install.plto install, enter yes or y to install, and press Enter to confirm all the following directory prompts

After installing VmTools, the virtual machine can automatically adapt to the screen, and the files can be directly dragged and dropped with the physical machine.
