Due to their excellent performance, amorphous materials have become the focus of research in the Chinese foreign scientific community since the 1980s. Currently, the United States, Japan, and Germany have established complete production scales, and a large number of amorphous alloy products have gradually replaced silicon steel, ferrite, etc.
Before 2021, there were 12 iron-based amorphous strip companies in China, with 35 production lines and a designed production capacity of 300,000 tons. However, due to the technical processes and product quality of most companies not meeting standards, and the aging of production equipment and technology, there is no stable and consistent production. Capacity, among which 8 amorphous production companies are shut down or out of business; in the first half of 2021, China's 4 companies that can produce stably have a total of 10 amorphous strip production lines, with a theoretical production capacity of 80,000 tons. In the second half of 2021, with the advancement of the "dual carbon" goal and the implementation of the transformer energy efficiency improvement plan, the policy transmission effect will appear, and the amorphous strip industry will recover significantly.
In 2021, China's amorphous strip production will be 108,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%; in 2022, China's amorphous strip production will be 150,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 39.4%. The market price of China's amorphous strips in 2021 is 10,900 yuan/ton, and the market price of China's amorphous strips in 2022 is 15,900 yuan/ton.
Compared with traditional silicon steel materials, materials such as amorphous alloy thin strips, ultra-thin nanocrystals and magnetic powders have obvious advantages in energy saving and efficiency improvement. The production process is significantly shorter than that of silicon steel and other materials, making material preparation more energy-saving; Crystalline alloys and other related materials and their products have high resistivity, high magnetic permeability and other characteristics, making the use of magnetic devices more energy-saving; the main products can achieve pollution-free recycling and reuse, have outstanding energy-saving and environmental protection characteristics, and are "energy-saving manufacturing, The full life cycle recyclable green materials and products that use energy-saving, recycle and save energy are natural practitioners of "carbon neutrality". The new demand and stock replacement space in the future are expected to continue to increase.
