My colleague Lao Wang recently switched to the new iPhone 15 Pro Max, and he said that the screen is awesome, it smells great!
But as the first prize winner of our company’s fishing competition, he devotes himself to studying fishing skills every day. How can he use this super cool screen on iPhone15 in the office to watch 4kHDR movies stored on his home computer?
The problem this tutorial solves is:
Movies and TV shows downloaded to your home computer cannot be watched outdoors.
After following this tutorial method, the effect achieved is:
1. In a public network environment (connected to other LAN/traffic), you can use computers (mac or win system) and mobile terminals (ios, Android, ipad, etc.) to access locally stored video files.
2. Local video files can be uploaded to storage devices at home in a public network environment (Hei Qunhui directly uploads to the computer hard drive, Bai Qunhui directly uploads to the NAS local hard drive)
1.Use environment requirements:
First of all, this tutorial is based on the Synology ecosystem, so you need to install and configure a Synology virtual machine or already have a genuine Synology NAS

2. Download Synology videostation:
After following the above tutorial to open the Synology virtual machine/Synology:
Open Package Center:
After the installation is complete, the interface is as follows:
At this point we open filesation:
Synology system automatically created the video folder
At this point we import local movie files:
Upload successful!
Open videostation:
Click on the movie to select the video folder where we uploaded the movie:
Successfully added:
In the above steps, we uploaded local movie files to the videostation application in nas. Next, we implemented public network access to local movie files.
3. Access the movies in the local Synology videostation from the public network:
If you want to access the public network (use mobile devices such as mobile phones to use traffic or public WiFi outdoors), you need to map the local port to the public network through the intranet penetration software. I recommend using cpolar, which can provide unlimited traffic for free.
The installation method of cpolar is very simple, see Chapter 2 of this tutorial for details:
After the installation is complete, open the cpolar package and click on the LAN address of 9200 in the lower right corner:
The default browser will open the cpoalr webui interface:
Because the nas version we downloaded will create a nas-web tunnel by default, click Edit:
Synology’s local port number is 5000
Protocol selection: NAS Synology; click to update
After the above steps, we successfully mapped the local Synology LAN address to the public network.
4. Use a computer browser to access the local Synology video station under public network conditions
Click on the online tunnel list and copy the public network address mapped by cpolar:
Use the browser of your mobile device to access this public address to access your Synology:
Enter your account password to log in:
Landed successfully:
Open the package in the same way as in the LAN:
Click to play local movies:
5. Use mobile terminals (devices equipped with Android, ios, ipados and other systems) to access the local Synology video station under public network conditions
First, open the app store, search for DS video, and download Synology’s official mobile app:
After opening, enter the public network address and Synology account password:
Log in under public network conditions:
Successfully accessed:
After the above configuration, we can use computer browser/mobile software to access Synology at home to watch movies under public network conditions!
After some attempts and research, Lao Wang finally succeeded in accessing the ultra-clear 4kHDR movies on his home computer through the public network through Black Group, and he was able to enjoy the stunning images of high-definition movies at any time in the office. Not only did he come out on top in the fishing competition, he also became a super fish master in the office.
