Use Axure RP and cpolar intranet penetration to access local web pages from the public network

AxureRP creates static sites and publishes them to the Internet, and intranet penetration enables public network access.

Preface

AxureRP is a frequently used website prototyping tool for product managers. It can be used to create and set chart styles, add interactivity and annotations to chart pages and elements, and can publish pages under design or completed to HTML at any time for viewing using a web browser. However, in addition to accessing in the LAN, there are also many times when you are on a business trip and need to use the public network to access. At this time, you can use the cpolar intranet penetration tool to access the local web display site of the intranet from the public network, so that you can view and view it at any time. Suggest modifications.

1. Generate HTML files in AxureRP

After simply designing the page, click 发布- in the upper navigation 生成HTML文件, as shown in the picture below, and then proceed to the next step.

After the prompt box below pops up, click the button to publish locally (the page publishing path can be changed)

The page display effect and page saving path are as follows:

2. Configure IIS service

Currently, AxureRP is used to generate a static HTML page, but if you want other users to access the page in the LAN, you need to configure the IIS service locally and build a static web site.

Open 控制面板程序和功能打开或关闭windows功能, select Internet信息服务the IIS related services, and click OK.

Then open 控制面板管理工具Internet信息服务(IIS)管理器添加网址

1

Configure local site related information in the opened interface: including 网站名称, 物理路径, 端口etc.

2

After adding the website, you can see that the local site I named arpce has been started. At this time, enter: http://localhost:8080 in the browser to browse the page locally.

3. Add firewall security policy

Open Control Panel – Windows Firewall, click 高级设置to enter the settings interface.

3

Click 入站规则, on the right side 新建规则, click 端口, Next, enter 特定本地端口, which is the port number you entered in the IIS configuration above. Keep going to the next step and the rule will be established.

5

Then, run cmd to enter the command prompt and enter ipconfig to obtain the local IP address.

7

At this time, if you want other users in the LAN to access the static site you generated with Axure, you only need to send it this address and open it with a browser:

http://your IP address: port number (the colon must be in English)

4. Use cpolar intranet penetration to achieve public network access

But currently the site can only be accessed within the local area network and cannot be accessed by other public network users. Next, we use cpolar intranet penetration to publish the site to the public network so that public network users can also access it normally.

4.1 Log in to the cpolar web ui management interface

Visit 127.0.0.1:9200 on the browser and use the registered cpolar account and password to log in to the cpolar web UI management interface. (Default is local port 9200)

4.2 Start website tunnel

Since our demo site port is under port 8080, we can use the website tunnel directly.

隧道管理After logging in to the cpolar web ui interface, we click - on the left dashboard 隧道列表, find the website tunnel, and click it 启动. The status is displayed active.

Alternatively, we can also create a new tunnel: click on the left dashboard 创建隧道:

  • Tunnel name: Customizable, be careful not to repeat it
  • Protocol: Select http
  • Local address: fill in port 8080
  • Domain name type: Select 随机域名(can be used for free)
  • Region: You can choose according to the actual applicable region, supporting CN, HK, US, TW, and EUR

After filling in the tunnel information, 创建click

4.3 Obtain the public URL address

状态Click - on the left dashboard 在线隧道列表to view the public network address generated by the online tunnel. You can see that there are two public network addresses for the website tunnel, one is the http protocol and the other is the https protocol. Copy the public network address.

4.4. Remote access to intranet web sites from public network

Access the public address generated by cpolar on the browser, in this case: https://64a3463b.r5.cpolar.top

Successfully published the intranet web site to the public network for access.

4.5 Configure a fixed second-level subdomain name for public network access to intranet web sites

In the previous step, we have been able to access the intranet web site from the public network, but the data tunnel at this time is in a temporary state (random domain name, reset every 24 hours), mostly used in test scenarios. If you want long-term and stable access to the site being created using Axure, you can check it at any time and make suggestions for modifications. We also need further settings to convert the temporary data tunnel into a fixed tunnel (you need to become a VIP member of cpolar). Now, let's get started.

4.5.1 Create a fixed data tunnel

To create a fixed data tunnel, we need to fix the drifting ports from both the inlet and outlet ends of the tunnel. First, we click on the cpolar web ui interface (visit 127.0.0.1:9200 on the browser ) in the lower left corner to go to the cpolar official website

After logging in to the cpolar official website and entering the dashboard interface, click the "Reserve" button on the left.

4.5.2 Find the "Reserved second-level subdomain name" field

In the "Reservation" interface, we find the "Reserve Second-Level Subdomain Name" field. What is set here is the public Internet entrance port of the data tunnel. Similar to the cpolar client settings, we also need to make some simple settings here. The first is the "Region" column. Just fill it in according to the actual area of use (here we fill in China VIP); "Name" is our name for the data tunnel, but unlike the cpolar client, the name here will be compiled into the final In the generated URL (here we choose to fill in NAS); and the last "remarks" is the prompt of this data tunnel, here we fill in test.

After filling in each column, you can click the "Reserve" button on the right to retain the data tunnel entrance in the cpolar cloud.

4.5.3 Re-edit the previously established temporary data tunnel

Then we return to the cpolar client, and on the "Tunnel List" page under the "Tunnel Management" item of the client, re-edit the temporary data tunnel we established previously (tunnel name: website), and change the entrance of the cpolar cloud data tunnel to the cpolar cloud data tunnel. The exits of the local data tunnel are associated so that we can use the redefined data tunnel to access the Axure static site located on the intranet.

click 编辑button

Modify the tunnel information and configure the second-level subdomain name into the tunnel:

  • Domain Type: Select instead二级子域名
  • Sub Domain: Fill in the second-level subdomain name we just reserved (in this example Axuretest)

After modification is completed, click更新

image-20230825160140639

状态After the tunnel is successfully updated, click - on the left dashboard 在线隧道列表. You can see that the public network address of the website tunnel has been updated to a second-level subdomain name. Copy the public network address.

image-20230825160555666

Open the browser and let's test accessing the successfully configured second-level subdomain name.

image-20230825161103001

The test is successful and you can access it normally. Now, our only private second-level subdomain name in the entire network has been created.
