Expert: It's too early to talk about 6G

In recent years, 5G development has achieved fruitful results, and it is at the forefront of the world in terms of network construction, user business and exploration. According to the white paper on China's 5G development and economic and social impact released annually by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, 5G will directly drive the total economic output value of 1.45 trillion yuan in 2022, and directly drive the economic added value of 390 billion yuan.
5G has brought huge social and economic benefits, driven people's discussions on the next generation of communication technology, and also driven the industry to "6G concept fever". In response to this, GSMA experts said: "In fact, in the past two years, when 5G was first commercialized, some people started to mention 6G, but at that time the industry did not recognize what 6G was. So to discuss 6G, we must first Define it." However, at present, the industry has not yet had a clear definition of 6G, so it is too early to talk about 6G at this stage.
5G-A is a key stage in the evolution from 5G to 6G
So how to define the next generation of communication network?

For the next generation of mobile network standards, it is worth paying more attention to how 5G-A will develop with the three versions of 3GPP R18, R19, and R20. Under the call of demand, the standard will be gradually established and completed in the next two years.
