Full text guide: This article mainly introduces the method of installing Windows system + UOS system at the same time on the machine under the AMD architecture (Intel/amd/Zhaoxin/Haiguang).
prepare the environment

1. Download the UOS system image (AMD64), download link: https://www.chinauos.com/resource/download-professional

2. Download the windows system image. Due to copyright reasons, please search the download address on Baidu to download;

installation steps
1. Install Windows system
Insert the U disk into the computer, set to boot from the U disk in the BIOS, enter the Windows boot disk, and complete the normal installation of the windows system. For the Windows system installation part, please use Baidu’s installation plan, which will not be introduced in this article.
2. Allocate a blank space in the Windows system
After the Windows system is installed, you need to compress a blank space area to install the UOS system. The recommended size of this area is more than 80GB.
Method: Right-click My Computer—Management —**Disk Management, **Select a single non-system disk to delete the disk (here, pay attention to choose to move important files out of backup in advance) or compress a part of the space.
You can also allocate disk space by yourself, or choose another physical disk for installation.
3. Boot from U disk
Enter the UOS system installation interface
4. Choose language
Select the desired language and click Next by default
5. Manually install the UOS system
Choose manual installation, and select the part of the space allocated on Windows to install the UOS system, as shown in the figure below:

Create partitions manually. The recommended partition type and size are as follows:

Note: If the computer has only one mechanical disk, and multiple partitions are divided after installing the Windows system, if all the main partitions are used during the installation of the UOS system, an error message may be displayed and the partition cannot be performed. Change the type to logical partition (see the table above)

Hard disk partition process
Set **/boot partition** according to the above table, type: primary partition , location: starting point , file system: ext4 , mount point: /boot , size: 2048MB
Create a swap partition according to the above table, type: primary partition, location: starting point, file system: swap partition, size: 8192MB
Create an efi partition according to the above table , type: primary partition/logical partition , location: starting point , file system: efi , size: 300MB
Create/partition according to the above table, type: primary partition/logical partition , location: starting point , file system: ext4 , mount point: / , size: all remaining space
Note: If you need to delete the created partition, refer to the steps in the following picture to delete
After all the partitions are created, click Next to start the system installation, and follow the prompts to complete the UOS system installation.
Seven, grub startup interface
After the UOS system is installed, you can see the boot options of UOS and Windows on the grub interface, and you can press the up or down arrow keys on the keyboard to select the system to enter according to your needs;
Eight, boot settings
If you want to start from UOS or Windows by default every time you start up, you can set the startup item in the control center of the UOS system - general - start menu
Troubleshoot installation issues
Problem 1: During the manual partitioning process, it prompts that ** cannot create a new partition. It prompts: It is detected that your motherboard is booted as EFI, but the disk format is MBR, so it cannot be installed directly. If you want to continue to complete the installation, please choose one of the following solutions to operate. **As shown below:
Solution: During the manual partitioning process, you can try to set the original primary partition as a logical partition to solve the problem.

Question two:
Boot into the Windows system without selecting the system interface. You need to enter the BIOS to change the settings, and Baidu by yourself (mainly because you forgot to change anything)
