Rufus 4.1 Released, USB Bootable Maker

Rufus is an old-fashioned USB boot disk creation tool, which can make ISO format images of Windows, Linux and other systems into USB boot disks. Rufus itself is very small (about 1.3MB), and it does not need to be installed when using it. It is open source on GitHub under the GPLv3 agreement.

One of the features of this tool is that users do not need to download the corresponding image files in advance. Through the built-in Fido script, users can complete the download of system files and the creation of boot disks with one click.

Rufus 4.1 updates are as follows:

  • Added timeouts on enumeration queries that could cause stalls on some systems
  • Restoring MS-DOS drive creation by downloading binaries from Microsoft
  • Changelog button icon
  • Fix UEFI: NTFS is not compatible with Windows Dev Kit 2023 platform
  • Fix out of range pointermore
