USB Host means that the device can be used as a USB host to connect to USB peripheral devices, such as connecting U disk, keyboard, mouse, etc.
The equivalent is USB Device (translated into target in some places), which means that the device can connect to the USB host as a U disk.
For mobile phones, those that support both Host and Device modes are called OTG
