Communication ability is one 最为重要of the abilities of the project manager. The project manager basically spends 90% of his time on communication, because he does not solve technical problems by himself, but organizes technical experts to solve them. The project manager is one 组织者. In most scenarios, the importance of communication can completely surpass technology. A project manager who is not a technical expert but has excellent communication skills can lead a project to success, but a technical expert who does not have good communication skills often has difficulty leading a project.
There are four key factors to the success of an IT project:
- support from management;
- user participation;
- Experienced project manager;
- Clear business goals.
These factors all rely on the good communication skills of the project manager and the team.
