Unit management

FreeCMS supports the simultaneous use of multiple units, and supports unlimited tree-level management.

1. Add root unit

Click on Organization Management from the left management menu.

Click "Add Root Unit"

Enter the relevant properties and click "OK".

After clicking "OK", the operation result will be displayed below

When the prompt "Add unit XXX succeeded" indicates that this unit has been added. You can see it after refreshing the page.

2. Editing unit

Select the unit to edit.

Click "Edit"

Enter the relevant properties and click "OK".

After clicking "OK", the operation result will be displayed below

When it prompts "Modification of unit XXX succeeded", it means that this unit has been modified.

3. Add subordinate units

Click on the unit that needs to add subordinate units, such as "root unit"

Click "Add Subordinate"

After filling in the relevant properties, click "OK".

After clicking "OK", the operation result will be displayed below

When the prompt "Add unit XXX succeeded" indicates that this unit has been added. You can see it after refreshing the page.

 

 

4. Bulk add

From FreeCMS 2.4, it supports to
click the "Batch Add" button
 
to input relevant attributes and then click "Save".

 

 

 

 

5. Transfer units

For user convenience, FreeCMS provides an easy way to change the unit structure so that you don't need to delete and rebuild units when you want to make adjustments to the unit structure.

Select the unit whose owning unit needs to be changed, such as "root unit"

 

 

Click "Transfer"

Select the position to be adjusted, such as "freeteam", and click it directly.

Notice:

1) If "Set as root unit" is selected, this unit will become the root unit.

2) When changing the owning unit, the sub-units of this unit will be transferred with this unit.

6. Delete unit

The delete unit function will delete the specified unit and sub-unit. This operation cannot be restored, please operate with caution.

Select the unit you want to delete, such as "Root Unit"

Click the "Delete" button

In order to prevent the user from misoperation, the system will prompt the user to confirm, click the "OK" button to complete the deletion operation.
