Column management
A column is a collection of a certain type of content in a system channel.
You can set up multiple first-level columns in the channel, add multiple second-level columns to the first-level column…. The column setting of FreeCMS has the function of no-level classification.
1. Add a first-level column
From the left management menu, click Column Management to enter.
Click "Add Root Section"
Supported since FreeCMS 2.2
Add column and information browsing authority control, you can control browsing authority by member, allow IP segment, and prohibit IP segment.
Enter the relevant properties and click "Save".
After the operation is successful, it will prompt whether to staticize the page of this column, the parent column page of this column, and the home page of the site.
hint:
1. Make the page of this column static: Select to make the page of this column static.
2. Staticize all parent column pages of this column: Selecting will make static page processing for all parent columns (excluding this column) of this column.
3. Make the home page of the site static: Select to make the home page static for the site to which this column belongs.
2. Edit column
Select the column to be edited.
Click "Edit"
Enter the relevant properties and click "Save".
After the operation is successful, it will prompt whether to staticize the page of this column, the parent column page of this column, and the home page of the site.
3. Add subordinate columns
Click on the column you want to add a subordinate column, such as "root column"
Click "Add Subordinate"
After filling in the relevant properties, click "Save".
After the operation is successful, it will prompt whether to staticize the page of this column, the parent column page of this column, and the home page of the site.
4. Transfer column
For the convenience of users, FreeCMS provides an easy way to change the column structure, so that you do not need to delete and rebuild the column when you want to adjust the column structure.
Select the column that needs to be changed, such as "root column"
Click "Transfer"
Select the position to be adjusted, such as "Buy", and click it directly.
Notice:
1) If you select a site name, such as "FreeCMS", this column will become a first-level column.
2) When changing the column, the sub-columns of this column will be transferred with this column.
5. Delete column
The delete column function will delete the specified column and sub-column, this operation cannot be recovered, please operate with caution.
Select the column to be deleted, such as "root column"
Click the "Delete" button
In order to prevent the user from misoperation, the system will prompt the user to confirm, click the "OK" button.

| static scheduling |
There are two ways to generate pages at regular intervals and at intervals. Scheduled generation generates static pages at a specified time every day. The interval repeat generation will be generated according to the specified time interval. For example, if 10 minutes or 2 hours is specified, the static page will be generated every 10 minutes or every 2 hours. |
