Looking at Alibaba Cloud's Industrial AI Strategy from the Judicial Field: Ecological Alliance, Technology Empowerment

Abstract: At the recently concluded Yunqi Conference Shenzhen Summit, in addition to the strategic announcement of Alibaba Cloud's full entry into IoT, the continuous ecological signing has become another highlight: the all-day IoT partnership signing, focusing on "ET Brain" "The Maxima Plan, and the cooperation with Tongdahai, an important IT service provider in the judicial field.

In terms of IoT, Ku Wei, general manager of Alibaba Cloud IoT Division, said that there are now 16 chip companies, 52 equipment manufacturers, 184 modules and gateways supporting Alibaba Cloud IoT operating systems and edge computing products. Many well-known MCU manufacturers have put AliOS Things on the official website as their main technology development platform.

The "Maxima Plan" is a competition-style partner recruitment method adopted by Alibaba Cloud to promote the rapid implementation of industrial AI. After more than two months of intense competition, a total of 19 partners stood out from 457 participating teams from around the world on that day, won various awards for each topic selection, and were selected into the "Maxima" program.

The success in the judicial field proves to a certain extent the lethality of Alibaba Cloud's ecological strategy. According to the data disclosed by Alibaba Cloud, more than 8,000 courts across the country are using its intelligent voice technology, and it has won the top spot in judicial AI almost "overnight".

Before the signing of Tongdahai, Alibaba Cloud had reached an in-depth cooperation with Huayu Software. Both are top players in the judicial field. In such cooperation, what Alibaba Cloud needs to do is to develop industry-leading technologies, while market development and software implementation are left to partners to complete.

For example, the OCR technology that Alibaba Cloud announced at the conference to export to the judicial field will accelerate the digitization of court files. This technology, called "reading light", can accurately identify the text in the picture. It has been used on a large scale within the Alibaba Group before, including picture control, search, and intelligent auditing.

In terms of technical performance, the document recognition rate of "reading light" is over 99%, the recognition rate of complex photo forms is over 95%, and it supports text recognition of thousands of image types, and it only takes 0.2 seconds to process an image on average.

Li Jin, Vice President of Alibaba Cloud, said: "Our partners understand the market, customers, and scenarios better than we do. Through them, we can better apply world-class technologies to the industry and promote the use of industrial AI in the judicial field. Land quickly".

In countries such as the United Kingdom and Israel, AI projects in the service industry account for more than 85% of the total AI projects, while in China this ratio is still quite low. After the explosion in 2017, it is foreseeable that AI will move from dazzling skills to the industry in order to realize real value. From "cloud migration" to "industrial AI", Alibaba Cloud's alliance strategy is the trump card to open up the next outlet.
