FreeBSD 13.1 Beta 3 released

The third beta version of the FreeBSD 13.1 release cycle is now available, and changes since Beta 2 include:

  • The REPRODUCIBLE_BUILD option is enabled by default
  • Various updates and fixes to the USB subsystem
  • Fixed a bug in sblock.fs_maxbsize initialization in newfs(8)
  • Updates and fixes to lindebugfs
  • Removed unnecessary compatibility fixes in libcxxrt
  • Implemented compile-time modifications to compiler-rt
  • OpenSSL has been updated to version 1.1.1n
  • Resolved a build-time fix when WITHOUT_BOOT was defined in src.conf(5)
  • Fixed virtio_random(4) to avoid deadlock
  • Made a build fix to if_epair(4)
  • The leap seconds documentation has been updated to version 3676924800
  • The time zone database has been updated to version 2022a
  • Fixed an issue where vga(4) and vt(4) could result in no video/console output
  • Updated arm64 specific code to make get_pcpu() a function
  • Support for automatic loading of decryption keys from ZFS filesystems
