GNOME 3.34 Beta released

GNOME 3.34 beta version (v3.33.90) has now been released, which also marked the API / ABI, UI and feature freeze stage of development.

Some new changes GNOME 3.34 beta version include:

  •  Cheese web camera software has switched to using Meson build system, also saw a new keyboard shortcuts, windows and other enhancements
  • Epiphany web browser adds a context menu item to select the expression, Alt + Enter to open the support page in a new tab, by default, on-demand accelerated compositing enabled again, enabled BubbleWack web processing sandbox, and other improvements
  • glib adds support for common Windows platforms, Windows, and other improvements, the library also provides security fixes and other items
  • GNOME map will be able to recover the last viewed location when the application was last closed
  • Fixes many of the bug GNOME Music 
  • GNOME settings daemon provides file service for all users of the system plugin
  • GNOME settings daemon will move all services to no longer use GDKX11 back-end, with the exception of the code xset
  • LIBSOUP adds extended support for WebSocket
  • Pango update
  • Users simply scan has seen its name change document scanners for GNOME (GNOME Document Scanner)

The second GNOME 3.34 Beta is expected to be released later this month, GNOME 3.34 version will be released on September 4, GNOME 3.34.0 stable will be released September 11.
