Right-click on My Computer>Manage>Disk Management, select a disk with larger space, and right-click to select the compressed volume. The author has divided 40G of space for Ubuntu 18.04 (the space size is selected according to your own needs, and the capacity is set. Just compress it, you don’t need to set a drive letter for him. We are repartitioning when installing Ubuntu. Note: We can’t directly view the partitions in Ubuntu in Win7, but we can access any partitions on the hard disk in Ubuntu. Things, that is, you can directly view the partitions of the Win7 system.
3. Use ultraISO to make a boot disk of Ubuntu 18.04 system U disk;
Baidu downloads the ultraISO software, and forces the Ubuntu16.04 system to write the installation U disk as the system installation boot disk
Fourth, install the Ubuntu system
- Insert the prepared U disk boot disk into the computer, restart the computer, F2-"BIOS, select the boot interface, and choose to boot via USB. (Different models of computer motherboards have different ways to enter the BIOS.)

- Restart and enter the ubuntu installation menu, press the TAB key, enter live, and press Enter to enter the installation interface
- Then select the last item "other options" in the installation type field, thinking that you can manually partition by yourself, and click continue.
- Now what we see is the partition of the hard disk. Find the word "free" in the front. What we have to do is to partition the free space to ubuntu.
- Click on the "free" partition, select "Add" below, fill in the partition space size at the top, and fill in the partition to be mounted at the bottom, and then confirm.

4. Create a boot system with EasyBCD
- Download and install EasyBCD.

step2: Click "linux/BSD"
step3: Type GRUB2, name ubuntu (custom), drive, select automatic.

- Now you can restart the computer, and you can choose between Win7 and Ubuntu startup. After choosing the Ubuntu startup item, you can also choose to enter the Win7 system.
- After adding, you can view the currently added content in the viewing device. In the edit boot menu, you can set the waiting time and delete the newly added operating system startup items.
5. Turn on the system
After completing these reboots, the system will list both the win7 system and the ubuntu 16.04 system, and you can select the system to enter.
The benefits of starting this way (windows will not be affected by Ubuntu)
If there is no last step, there is no problem, but if you start windows7 and delete the partition of the Ubuntu system, then the system cannot be started.
