The Levels.fyi website recently released a 2020 programmer income report. The salary data in the report reflects the median annual total salary collected in the past year , including salary, stocks and bonuses.

The website says that although the data is for software engineers, the highest paid companies and locations are usually also applicable to various technical roles. And salary and level depend on various factors, including interview performance, past experience, competitive offer, etc. It also stated that these salary figures are mainly for the highest paid technology companies and locations, and may not reflect the salaries of other companies in the market.

The report shows that in the classification of entry-level engineers, Lyft takes the top spot with a median salary of $230,000. Next is ROBLOX, with a salary of $222,000. According to Levels.fyi, although the vitality of the entire recruitment market fell due to the epidemic in March, the recruitment situation is now steadily improving. The salary level has also been stable and even continues to increase. There are also several companies that have achieved permanent telecommuting or relocated their headquarters, and they expect this trend to continue.

In addition, many companies have also made adjustments to employee salaries. Levels.fyi predicts that 2020 will have a longer-term impact on employee compensation, but they have not yet determined what impact it will have.
