Aras version binding guidelines (Item Behavior)
Item Behavior is a constraint criterion for the binding of version associations in different stages when one or more of the associated management items are changed/upgraded.
Basic criteria
There are two basic guidelines:
- Fixed, is the criterion of fixed binding relationship, the phase relationship of version binding does not change with version upgrade;
- Float, which is the latest binding relationship criterion, changes with version upgrades, and is always bound to the latest version.
High level guidelines
There are two high-level criteria: Hard Fixed and Hard Float. And, it can be set in two different management configuration functions (|RelationshipType and Life Cycle State), described as follows:
Hard Fixed | Hard Float | |
---|---|---|
RelationshipType | It has the characteristics of Fixed criteria, and the Fixed settings cannot be modified in the Life Cycle State configuration, that is, the configuration in Life Cycle State is invalid | It has the characteristics of Float criterion, and the Float setting cannot be modified in the Life Cycle State configuration, that is, the configuration in Life Cycle State is invalid |
Life Cycle State | It has the characteristics of Fixed criteria, and the fixed settings cannot be modified in the configuration of the later life cycle state | It has the characteristics of Float criteria, and the Float settings cannot be modified in the configuration of the later life cycle state |
Version binding form
Corresponding to the above binding criteria, there will be various versions of binding changes, as shown below:
