As the latest development version of QEMU 5.0.0, QEMU 5.0-RC1 was released on Tuesday. Stable version is expected to launch later this month.
QEMU 5.0 includes the following major changes:
- Dbus-VMstate is a new back-end that allows an external process to migrate their data together with QEMU
- The introduction of Virtiofsd, it vhost-user-fs interact to provide the transfer to the host file system directory
- Bluetooth support is removed from the QEMU because it can not be maintained, and may be interrupted for some time
- More ARMv8 architecture simulation function now also supports the Cortex-M7 CPU
- TPM support ARM
- On the draft management program v0.5 system RISC-V extensions provide experimental support
