QEMU 4.2 has been officially released, it is a key part of the open-source Linux virtualization stack. Some features of the updated version of the key points include:
- Support for Intel AVX-512 BFloat16 (BF16) Extended
- Latest updates all CPU models are currently disabled by default TSX (transaction synchronization extension) extension
- ARM core Tiny Code Generator (TCG) has better performance simulation
- QEMU support in the ARM, to run with more than 256 CPU
- ASpeed AST2600 models support
- TCG plug-in support passive monitoring instructions and memory access
- block: NBD block driver now supports copying more efficiently process requests to read
- block: NBD server optimized for copying sparse images, as well as conventional repair NBD server / client implementation / improvement
- block / crypto: AES-XTS for improved disk LUKS encrypted encryption performance
- vfio-pci support "failover_pair_id" attribute can be more easily migrate VFIO equipment
