由于各个厂商之间的合作和竞争，造成有些类似的规范出现，比如WS-Eventing和WS-Notification，前者被Mircosoft支持，后者则有IBM和SUN支持。但是在WS-ReliableMessing上，Microsoft又和IBM站在一起与Oracle和SUN产生分歧。
