JOB SUMMARY



Business Intelligence Analyst II :

This position is for a “Business Intelligence Analyst II” role within the BI/Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW/DWH) team. This role focuses on delivering Enterprise Reports & Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for the EDW/DWH business users, ranging from senior executives to middle management and various reporting groups. These BI solutions support financial analytics, performance reporting, and customer management, etc.



The successful candidate will be responsible for Enterprise Reporting/Business Intelligence projects starting with gathering and defining the initial requirements Reports Development, Testing, Implementation, and Support. The successful candidate must also have the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



Should have experience with the following areas:

        Enterprise Reporting & Analytic Tools such as: QlikView, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Cognos, or Information Builders.
        SQL Server suite of tools – Management Studio (SSMS), Reporting Services(SSRS), SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012 and integration with ETL.
        Minimum 4 years of hands-on development experience in Business Intelligence/Enterprise Data Warehouse and financial, operational and management report development.
        Minimum 4 years of hands-on development experience combined with Oracle 10g (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (or higher).
        T-SQL or PL/SQL query & procedures.
        Strong SQL background & understanding of relational and dimensional data models and structures.
        Dashboard/data visualization tools.
    Ability to work on multiple assignments at a time.
    Experienced to work independently/coordinate the reports development with other team as necessary.
    Must be able to meet deadlines and work with little or no supervision.
    Comfortable with interaction between IT and Business operations.
    The ability to work quickly and effectively in order to provide ad hoc queries to business users on a daily basis. Analysis and problem-solving skills are essential.

    The ability to work as Technical Business Analyst, to read, interprets and develops reports from requirement documents.

    Knowledge of MS Office suite of products  with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills is essential

    A general understanding and ability to apply Software Development Life Cycle practices and methodologies in a team collaboration environment.

    Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    Preferred with experience in Mortgage or Financial services industry.
    Prior experience in financial analysis or business analysis a plus.
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work with business representatives to gather report requirements and document for development.
    Develop operational, financial and management reports through the use of enterprise reporting tools.
    Testing and Analysis of report results.
    Develop analytics as needed for data quality, trends, etc.
    Maintain knowledge of business processes, cross-functional relationships and their use of information.
    Work with business representatives to identify areas for improvement for reporting.
    Work with data warehouse team on design of data mart and reporting data sets as needed.
    Contribute to continuous improvement of the overall reporting infrastructure as needed.
    Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
    Ability to work independently and as part of the team as necessary.
    All other duties as assigned.
