为什么js中的instanceof、typeof没有采用驼峰式命名法？

在写代码的过程中，会时不时的将instanceof写成instanceOf，然后出现错误。

今天查了一下，发现instanceof和typeof属于JavaScript的运算符，而valueOf,toString为方法。
