1- build a computer network DHCP server

Under Windows DHCP server configuration and management

What is DHCP

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a simplified TCP / IP standard protocol of the host IP address allocation management.

Use it to assign dynamic IP addresses to network clients and perform other related network environment configuration tasks such as DNS, Gateway and other settings.

The role of DHCP services

(1) reduce the burden on the administrator to manage IP addresses, greatly reduces the time to configure or reconfigure the network station takes, achieve the most efficient use of limited IP address.

(2) avoid errors due to manually set IP addresses and subnet masks generated.

(3) avoid assigning an IP address to multiple computers, in order to address problems caused by the conflict.

The working mechanism of DHCP services

Address planning

 Setting server network parameters

The IP address of the DHCP server is set to 192.168.1.1, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the default gateway can be set to 192.168.1.254, preferred DNS server address can be set to 192.168.1.1.

Install the DHCP Server

Once to select "Start", "" Programs "" "Server Manager" command, select the "role" "" Add Role "," click Next, select DHCP server, as shown in Figure

Step 1: Open the DHCP server console window

Select "Start", "" Programs "" "management tools" "" DHCP Commands "

Step 2: Add a scope

Step 3: Set IP address range

192.168.1.10 ~ 192.168.1.220 (Reserved 192.168.110 ~ 192.168.1.120)

Step 4: Add the exclusion address

Step 5: Set the client IP address lease duration

 The default is eight days

 Step 6: Configuring DHCP Options

Step 7: configuring the router (default gateway)

Step 8: Configuring DNS domain name and city

Enter a DNS server: 192.168.1.1, enter xwj.com parent domain may temporarily lose

 Step 9: Set wins server

Step 10: Activate Scope

Step 11: Complete configuration

After completing the DHCP server configuration, but also for the manager of the company set up a reserved address 192.168.1.188, which needs to know the Mac address of another network card

Step 12: New Reservation

 Configuring the Client

In the "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) Properties", "Local Area Connection Properties" dialog box, select the "automatically obtain IP address" and two radio buttons "Obtain DNS server address automatically."
