It has a multi-threaded downloads, high-speed engine (based on libcurl offers a high download speed); resume unfinished download, support for segmented video stream, encrypted / unencrypted HLS (HTTP real-time streaming) media streams stand by.

How to install pyIDM in Linux
First, you need to install the needed packages, including: pip - the de facto standard Python installer and package manager, Tkinter - Python de facto standard GUI (Graphical User Interface) software package, xclip - to window command-line interface. X11 clipboard and FFmpeg - multimedia framework widely used.
After installing the required packages, use pip3 utility installation pyIDM, once running it attempts to automatically install the missing dependencies.
After installation, you can start as shown in FIG pyIDM from the terminal window.
To download a file, copy it and paste it into the download link URL input box. Please note that, when opened, pyIDM will use xclip program to automatically detect the system clipboard to copy the URL (or if pyperclip xsel installation), and automatically paste the download link in the URL field. Then click the Download button, as shown in the following screenshot.
To view an ongoing download, click the "Download" tab. You can also change the settings by clicking the "Settings" tab.
