1. The installation of Synology Drive package

1.1 Install Synology Drive package

The way to create a folder is to click the "Create" button at the top of the page, and name it in the folder editing window that pops up.

After installing Synology Drive Client, you need to make several basic settings, mainly to guide Synology Drive Client to find the shared Synology Drive. 2. Use cpolar to remotely access the intranet Synology Drive

For the convenience of operation, the author upgrades cpolar to the professional package (the professional package is cheap and large, and provides 2 fixed TCP tunnels, while the free version of the TCP tunnel changes every 24 hours), so that my shared files can be continuously and stably accessed access to.
2.1 Cpolar cloud settings

Next, we go back to the Synology NAS, open the cpolar software, and connect the blank data tunnel generated by the cpolar cloud with the local Synology Drive port of Synology.
On the left side of the main interface of the cpolar client in Synology, find 隧道管理

- Tunnel name : The tunnel name here is displayed on the cpolar client (it has nothing to do with the tunnel name on the cpolar cloud). For the convenience of management, the author still named it Synology drive;
- Protocol : The protocols here include http, tcp, tls, ftp and dedicated NAS Synology, to adapt to different tunnel applications, we choose the tcp protocol;
- Port : The dedicated output port of Synology Drive is 6690, so enter 6690 here;
- Port type : The port here is convenient for us to choose the duration of this tunnel. If it is only used temporarily, you can choose a random temporary port. But the author intends to let this tunnel exist for a long time, so check the fixed TCP port;
- Reserved TCP address : This content box will only appear after selecting a fixed TCP port. The address that needs to be filled in is the address generated by the "Reserved TCP address" on the cpolar cloud.
After completing the above settings, you can click 创建

Since the public Internet address of this tunnel can only be sent by the creator to trusted people, outsiders do not know this The existence of the data tunnel, coupled with the user + password authentication method of Synology Drive itself, makes the files and materials shared by Synology Drive very safe.
2.3 Test and use
Finally, we can use a device located on the public Internet to try to access the shared files of Synology Drive on the local Synology through the data tunnel established by cpolar.
Just like accessing Synology Drive in a local area network, we need to enter the basic information of the Synology NAS to be connected on the Synology Drive Client client. The difference is that in the Synology NAS address, we fill in the TCP address generated by cpolar to replace the previous four-segment LAN address. To prevent errors, you need to uncheck the "Enable SSL data transmission encryption" option. After completing the information filling, you can click "Next" to connect.
Like the LAN connection to Synology Drive, we only need to click "Next" all the way to configure. After the configuration is complete, you can see the Synology Drive Client in the non-local area network, successfully connect to the Synology Drive in the local area network, and you can freely edit and retrieve shared files.
