[About how testers treat mistakes at work]

In our day-to-day work, we will inevitably make some mistakes, which will lead to frustration and disappointment. But how to treat and deal with these mistakes correctly is the most important thing, it directly affects our work performance and personal growth. Let's talk about how you, as a professional, deal with mistakes at work!

As a tester, I inevitably make some mistakes in my daily work. How and how I deal with these lapses, however, is an important part of my professional endeavor. Next, I will share with you how to treat and deal with the mistakes in the testing work correctly.

First, I think recognizing and accepting mistakes is a very important step. Neither we individually nor as a team are perfect. In testing, we may cause errors or omissions in testing tasks such as tracking defects and updating documents due to various reasons. These mistakes can be frustrating and disappointing, but it's important to be prepared to tolerate these unexpected situations.

Second, we need to ensure that mistakes are corrected in a timely manner. When we find that we have made mistakes during the testing process, we must not only record them in time, but also feed them back to relevant personnel for repairs. For example, if we miss some key information when recording a defect, we may need to communicate with developers in a timely manner to collect this information, and then update the defect ticket. After fixing, we should test in time to ensure that the problem has been successfully resolved.

Third, we need to learn from our mistakes. In order to further improve our work performance and personal growth, we need to analyze the causes of mistakes and formulate relevant learning plans and practical activities. For example, in our work, if we find that similar mistakes occur repeatedly, we need to analyze and think carefully, and then take measures to avoid repeating these mistakes.

Finally, we need to remain optimistic. We may feel frustrated and disappointed when we deal with mistakes, but we need to maintain a positive attitude to face difficulties and strike a balance between frustration and professional satisfaction. Pay attention to self-adjustment to maintain a good personal state and make your work more effective.

Finally, I'd like to go through an example of how to properly handle errors in your testing efforts. For example, when doing manual testing, I inadvertently left out a specific test case. When I found this problem, I first recognized the seriousness of the error and immediately added this use case to the test plan. Then, I report the bug to the development team so they can fix the issue in a timely manner. Finally, I carefully analyzed the cause of the error, and confirmed that similar errors will not occur again, in order to perform better in future work.

In short, dealing with mistakes at work is a skill that every professional must master. The key is to accept the mistake in time and take effective measures to correct it. During error handling, we should learn from our mistakes and strive to maintain an optimistic attitude so that we can turn them into opportunities to further enhance our work performance and personal growth.
