Metagenome/microbiome is one of the most popular research fields in the world today. In order to strengthen the exchange and dissemination of metagenomics technology and results, and promote the development of the global Chinese microbiome field, young researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences created the "Metagenomics" public account, and the joint sea Colleagues at home and abroad jointly create a platform for pure dry goods technology and thought exchange in this field.

The public account is pushed daily, and the latest achievements, scientific research ideas, experiments and analysis techniques in the field of metagenomics are shared on weekdays. The theory is solid and practical; the weekend science and life columns are easy to read and watch movies. At present, 3100+ original articles are shared, 150,000+ small partners exchange and learn together here, and the cumulative reading exceeds 40 million+.

The public account co-founded a new high-level journal "iMeta" on metagenomics, microbiome and bioinformatics, an open access journal co-published by Wiley, Enterobacteriaceae Branch and hundreds of Chinese scientists in this field. The chief editor is Liu Shuangjiang, a researcher at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences It is jointly held by Professor Fu Jingyuan from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. The goal is to publish high-impact papers in the top 10% (IF > 15). For details, see: iMeta launch promotional video . Published the first monograph "Microbiome Protocol eBook" in this field, which was written by 352 colleagues in the field, free and open source, and continuously updated. For details, see "Microbiome Protocol eBook (Microbiome Protocol eBook) 1st Edition" jointly completed by 125 units .

Founded the world's first microbiome and bioinformatics journal, iMeta, a new high-level journal .

In order to encourage readers to communicate and quickly solve scientific research difficulties, we have established a "metagenomics" professional discussion group. At present, 6000+ front-line scientific researchers at home and abroad have joined. Participate in the discussion and get professional answers. Welcome to share this article to Moments, and scan the QR code to add editor-in-chief friends to bring you into the group. Be sure to note "name-unit-research direction-professional title/grade". PI please indicate your identity, and there are also microbial-related PI groups at home and abroad for cooperation and exchange. To seek help for technical problems, first read "How to Ask Elegantly" to learn how to solve the problem. If the problem has not been resolved in the group discussion, do not chat privately with the problem, and help the peers.
