Before the National Day of 2018, I opened the WeChat public account "Python Cat" and wrote the first article of the "Meow Star Lai Ke" series.
Before the National Day in 2020, I have created and translated 130+ Python technical articles.
Time flies, and two years passed quickly.
At this special time node, I felt that it was necessary to sort out the content of my creation, so this self-made e-book- "Elegant Python" was born .
It can be seen that the title of the book is a parody of "Smooth Python", the main reason is that I like it very much, and it is precisely because of the many inspirations this book gave me when learning Python that I dared to embark on the road of technical writing.
Python is concise and elegant, and the user experience is extremely comfortable. Therefore, using the adjective "elegant" in the title of the book is not only a tribute to "smooth", but also very appropriate.
Based on the simple and easy-to-learn basic knowledge of Python, I want to further explore its advanced content and understand all aspects of its language design. At the same time, I am also very concerned about Python's official dynamics and technical community information. These things constitute the main content of my creation/translation.
This e-book contains most of my original works and is divided into six chapters:
The first chapter is "Basic and Advanced", which occupies the largest space in the book. There is no step-by-step entry-level content here, so most of the articles are not for beginners.
The second chapter is the "Why Python" series. This series mainly focuses on topics such as Python's syntax, design, and development. Starting with "Why" questions, it tries to show the charm of Python.
This series is my main creative direction at this stage, and I will gradually touch more aspects of Python from basic grammar points. The content of the article has a high degree of originality, and there are more correlations between each other, and the readability is very strong.
The third chapter is "Translation and Writing". I have translated more than 20 articles, opened two translation series warehouses on Github (even built a translation exchange group), and some stories/views/experiences are worth sharing with you.
The fourth chapter is "Recommended Book Series". This series will recommend some technical books. The early expectation was to write one in a week or two, but later, due to the gradual trend towards the style of "intensive book reviews", it was difficult to continue...
Chapter 5 "Current Events in the Community" mainly includes several articles about the father of Python's "abdication--election--return to the decision-making level", as well as news about the end of Python2 and the PyCon conference.
Pay attention to the latest developments in the community, which should be a major way to improve the "Python worldview".
The last chapter is the "Meow Star Visitors" series. It is where my "initial heart" of creation lies, and I will never forget it!
Fiction creation and technical writing, corresponding to literary thinking and science and engineering thinking, are too different, and my ambition is to add philosophy to them. After trying a few articles, I prudently stopped writing for the time being, looking forward to having more knowledge accumulation and writing experience, and I will come back when the time is right.
