A month after the release of KDE Gear 23.04.2, KDE Gear 23.04.3 was released to improve the Gwenview image viewer so that it no longer crashes when opening RAW image files in NEF (Nikon) format, fix some issues with reminders in the Kalendar app, and fix the tile position in portrait mode in the KReversi app.
KDE Gear 23.04.3 also improves the Falkon web browser, adding a new option in the preferences that allows you to set the default search engine by default, adding icons for boat/ferry bookings in Itinerary's calendar, and adding support for single-page booking PDFs, and improving handling of Flixbus train tickets in the KItinerary library.
The KPublicTransport library has also been improved with support for PKCS#12 client certificate packages, the Kajongg game now supports Python 3.11 and higher, the VLC backend in the Kasts podcast app has been improved, and the KMail email client has received some improvements.
Last but not least, the Kdenlive video editor has received a fair amount of attention, with several crashes fixed when loading a project with unknown transitions, when trying to open a backup of a project file that was moved, or when pressing home on a subtitle track. The mixer's audio level display has been improved and it now features a scale for the gain slider.

As previously mentioned, KDE Gear 23.04.3 is the last update for the KDE Gear 23.04 series, and we urge all users to update their installations as soon as the package arrives in their GNU/ Linux distribution's stable software repositories.
The next major release will be KDE Gear 23.08, which is expected to be released on August 24, 2023.
