KDE Frameworks 5.93 released

KDE Frameworks is a collection of libraries and software frameworks that can be used by any Qt-based software stack or applications on multiple operating systems. Featuring solutions of frequently requested features such as hardware integration, file format support, additional graphical control elements, drawing functions and spell checking, the collection serves as the technical foundation for KDE Plasma and KDE Gear, released under the LGPL.

KDE recently officially released KDE Frameworks 5.93. Some of the updates are as follows:

Breeze icon

  • Add more symlinks to zoom icons
  • add input-tvremote

Additional CMake modules

  • fix find qmake
  • ECMQueryQt: add fallback
  • ECMAddQch: make it also work with Qt6::qhelpgenerator
  • Deprecated ECMQueryQmake, replaced by ECMQueryQt
  • KDEInstallDirs6: ported from custom logic to ecm_query_qt
  • Ported from ECMQueryQmake to ECMQueryQt
  • Android: use current cmake executable
  • Add ECMQueryQt module, which includes Qt5 Qmake and Qt6 qtpaths
