VMware virtual machine and local host for disk sharing
premise
The version of the virtual machine is Windows 10 (Professional Edition, not that there may be problems)
The local host is the Home Edition or the Student Edition (this version will have problems, but there are alternatives)
preferably the Professional Edition
VMware operations
1. Turn off the firewall, all off.
2. Open the computer properties
3. Click Sharing-"Advanced Sharing-"Permissions
4. If there is no everyone, add
permissions and select Full Control, and then apply OK.
5. Open cmd
and enter lusrmgr.msc (only the professional version can be opened).
If it is not the professional version, you can skip this step.
Click User - "administrator
password must be a complex password, otherwise it will not work. A password of type admaiN@1234 is recommended.
After setting the password, click Properties to disable unlocking.
6. If the windows of the virtual machine is not a professional version, you can set the password of your own user to be complicated.
Among them, the authority of the own user must be an administrator.
You can open cmd in administrator mode, enter
net localgroup administrators username/add
localhost operations
1. Open cmd
2. Enter net use K: \\IP\C$
IP is the IP of the virtual machine, which can be obtained by opening cmd through the virtual machine and entering the ipconfig command.
For this K, the local disk must not have K. If there is K, change it to a letter that does not have it.
3. Enter the user name and password set by the virtual machine
. After the fifth step of the virtual machine operation, the user name entered is administrator
and the password is the password of the
fifth step. If you have not passed the fifth step, enter the user name and password set by your virtual machine.
Troubleshooting
1. After the operation is completed, if no error is reported, please check whether there is an extra disk in the local disk. If not, please perform the following operations.
Copy \IP\C$, and then paste it to the following figure
, press Enter, and enter the username and password of the virtual machine.
Then click Enter.
The contents of the disk will appear.
2. If system error 5 occurs, access is denied.
It is recommended to replace the virtual machine with Windows 10 Professional Edition.
3. If the user is disabled.
