1. Background

The system architect is a kind of soft exam advanced exam.

2. The purpose of soft test (advanced)

As for why? Naturally there are some benefits, such as:

Substituting examinations for evaluation:  After passing the corresponding soft examination qualifications  , you can  enjoy the treatment of corresponding professional titles  . For example, if you are applying for a teacher in a university, you will first be asked whether you have a professional title. Pass the system architect exam, and be directly rated as a senior engineer in the engineering field, which corresponds to the title of associate senior, and the title of associate professor in the school;

International mutual recognition:  China, Japan and South Korea all recognize the value of the soft test, and it will be useful when doing some projects involving Japan and South Korea.

Residence Permit:  With the Advanced Soft Examination Certification,  you can directly apply for a work residence permit in Beijing;

Integral settlement:  Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will get extra points for settlement, which is also a great temptation for students who want to settle.

Deduction of individual tax : In the year when the certificate is obtained, the income tax of 3,600 yuan can be deducted in one lump sum;

In other respects, there may be:

Stepping stone: For fresh graduates, having an advanced certificate is also a stepping stone to enter an ideal company.

Promotion and salary increase: This is an Internet company, and I have not heard of a corresponding policy.

Self-improvement: Of course, it does not rule out that individuals want to do theoretical improvement, etc.

Three, what to test

The system architect is an advanced qualification exam for soft exams. There are three subjects in the exam:

General knowledge 9:00-11:30 am Multiple choice questions 75 points

Case Study 1:30-3:00 pm Questions and Answers 75 points

Paper 3:30-5:30 pm Writing 75 points

A score of 45 and above is considered a pass. All three subjects must reach 45 points or more to obtain a certificate.

Section 1: General Knowledge

  • Exam time is 150 minutes, 75 four-choice single-choice questions, each question 1 point
  • answer sheet

Section 2: Case Analysis

  • The test time is 90 minutes, mainly questions and answers and fill-in-the-blank questions. There are five big questions in total, and each big question is 25 points. The first question must be answered, and the second to fifth questions are four choices.
  • The first big question is relatively fixed, usually software architecture evaluation. Among the second to fifth questions, there will always be one question about embedded system design (it is recommended that non-embedded practitioners give up directly), in addition to the following question types:

    Software system modeling (UML diagram filling in the blanks, Q&A)
    system database design (DFD diagram filling in the blanks, Q&A)
    overall system architecture design (table filling in, architecture diagram filling in the blanks, Q&A)
    Web system architecture design (table filling in, architecture diagram filling in the blanks, Q&A)
    single Detailed design of scenarios: high-availability design, high-performance design, high-reliability design, micro-service design, scalability design, etc.

  • The second is the program analysis and selection category:

Please point out the problems existing in the selection of the xxx technical solution, within 200 words;

The project self-organization finally used the xxx technical solution, please analyze the reasons for adopting the xxx technical solution;

Please analyze the advantages and disadvantages/applicable scenarios of N technical solutions, and determine which technical solution to use;

  • answer sheet

Section 3: Dissertation

  • The test time is 120 minutes. The exam format is to give 4 essay topics, only need to choose one of the topics to write, two hours
  • Among the 4 topics given in the paper, there is generally one that is relatively hot in the past two years, such as cloud native, serverless architecture, blockchain, etc. The direction of the other three questions is very fixed, and the frequency is roughly from high to low. It mainly includes: software system architecture design (architecture evaluation, architecture style, microservice architecture, etc.), software system modeling, information system planning and integration, software quality Assurance, software high-performance design, software usability design, software security design, requirements management, project management, etc.;

4. Common exam content for system architects

1. Computer network and communication knowledge: covering network protocols, routing, switching, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), network security, etc.

2. Database knowledge: including relational database management system (RDBMS), non-relational database, data modeling, data warehouse, etc.

3. Operating system knowledge: involves operating system principles, process management, memory management, file system, etc.

4. Software engineering knowledge: including software development process, software design principles, software testing, software quality assurance, etc.

5. Architecture design knowledge: including system design principles, architecture design patterns, system performance optimization, system security, etc.

6. In addition, the exam content may also include knowledge of project management, business analysis, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc.
