The Caliber open source project is the official e-book management tool of Caliber. It can view, convert, edit and categorize eBooks in all major formats. Caliber is cross-platform software that runs on Linux, Windows and macOS.
Caliber 6.20 is now officially released, and the updates are as follows:

- Windows: Made moving files in the caliber library folder more robust, locking folders and files before the move starts
- Get books: Updated Barnes and Noble store plugin to accommodate site changes
- Kindle output: JPEG images with EXIF metadata are only re-encoded if the metadata includes an actual transpose operation
- PDF Output: Fixed bug when input document contained multiple font instances, some with verticality and others without
- PDF Output: Fix the problem that using CSS multi-columns for the body causes the conversion to fail when specifying the header/footer
- MOBI Input: Fixed a crash when converting some corrupt palmdoc compressed MOBI files
- E-book viewer: Ensure CSS stylesheets are interpreted as UTF-8
