According to a recent survey released by the China Association for Science and Technology, the average working hours of scientific and technological workers is 8.6 hours, and the longest working hours are 16 hours a day. Highly educated people work longer hours and suffer from severe sleep deprivation. Technological workers with a doctoral degree have the longest average daily working hours of 9.29 hours. At the same time, scientific and technological workers with doctoral and master's degrees spend less than 5 hours a week on sports, which is significantly less than other education groups.
The person in charge of the survey, Professor Chen Zhiyan from the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that from the data, scientific and technological workers with doctoral degrees may squeeze more healthy exercise time in exchange for more working time , which may affect their physical and mental health in the long run. bring adverse effects.
A survey initiated by "Intellectuals" in conjunction with Nature Research and others showed a similar conclusion. According to the survey, 12.84% of young scientific researchers work no more than 40 hours a week, which is just in line with the provisions of the "Labor Law" (working hours no more than 44 hours a week); while as many as 58.39% of young scientific researchers The average working hours per week is more than 50 hours. According to the survey, nearly half of the people said they were overtired and not healthy; only one in 10 said they were very healthy.
Young scholars are in the rising period of their careers. Whether it is fatigue or worry, it is one of the main killers of young researchers' health.
For the sustainable development of individuals and scientific research, we should:
Establish a healthy outlook on work and values, and develop healthy living and exercise habits. Regular work and rest, eating on time, and sleeping well are very important to our health. On this basis, develop a good habit of exercising, stretch after working for a period of time, and persist in moderate-intensity exercise for about an hour every day, which can not only improve physical fitness, but also relieve work pressure. Why not do it .
I hope that scientific researchers who are struggling on the road can take good care of their bodies.
