On September 14, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) issued an obituary: Comrade Zhang Jiajia, School of Earth Sciences, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) , unfortunately passed away in Beijing at 19:41 on September 13 due to ineffective treatment. He was 33 years old .
Public information shows that Zhang Jiajia, male, Han nationality, was born in Dezhou, Shandong Province in January 1990. He joined the Communist Party of China in May 2012.
He graduated with a doctorate in geological resources and geological engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in September 2019, and won the Li Siguang Outstanding Graduate Award; from December 2019 to January 2022, he studied geological resources and geological engineering at China University of Petroleum (Beijing) The mobile station is engaged in postdoctoral research. In January 2022, he was selected as one of the top young talents of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and stayed at the school to teach; he was promoted to associate professor in July 2023.
According to the website of the School of Earth Sciences of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Zhang Jiajia is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research related to oil and gas field development geology, especially in deepwater oil and gas field reservoir heterogeneity mechanisms and refined characterization and modeling technology. Experience and research results have been published in high-level domestic and foreign academic journals such as "GSA Bulletin", "Tectonics", "AAPG Bulletin", "Marine and Petroleum Geology", and "Petroleum and Natural Gas Geology". He has successively undertaken 1 National Natural Science Youth Fund project, 1 China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Project, and 2 University Scientific Research Startup Fund projects, and authorized 1 national invention patent.

Zhang Jiajia, male, Han nationality, was born on January 29, 1990 in Dezhou City, Shandong Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in May 2012. In September 2019, he graduated with a PhD degree in geological resources and geological engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and won the Li Siguang Outstanding Graduate Award. From December 2019 to January 2022, he engaged in postdoctoral research at the Geological Resources and Geological Engineering Mobile Station of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Associate Professor Zhang Jiajia is rigorous in his studies, realistic and innovative, dedicated and caring for students. He has achieved certain innovative results in the fields of deep-water sedimentology and oil and gas field development geology, and has made contributions to the construction and development of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Some contributions. His untimely death caused us to lose a good party member and teacher. We deeply mourn his death.
The farewell ceremony for Comrade Zhang Jiajia's body is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on September 17 (Sunday) in the fourth hall of the farewell hall of Changping Funeral Home.
