A recent survey released by the China Association for Science and Technology showed that the average working hours of science and technology workers is 8.6 hours, and the longest working time is 16 hours a day. People with a high degree of education work longer hours every day and suffer from severe sleep deprivation. Science and technology workers with a doctorate degree work the longest average daily hours at 9.29 hours. At the same time, scientific and technological workers with doctoral and master's degrees spend less than 5 hours a week on exercise, which is significantly less than other academic groups.

The person in charge of the survey, Professor Chen Zhiyan from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that from the data, science and technology workers with doctoral degrees may squeeze out healthy exercise time in exchange for more working hours . In the long run, this may have a negative impact on their physical and mental health. bring adverse effects.

A survey initiated by Intellectuals in conjunction with Natural Science Research and others showed a similar conclusion. The survey said that 12.84% of young scientific researchers work no more than 40 hours a week, which just meets the requirements of the Labor Law (no more than 44 hours a week); while as many as 58.39% of young scientific researchers The average weekly working hours exceeds 50 hours. The survey showed that nearly half of the people said they were overtired and not very healthy; only 10% said they were very healthy.

Young scholars are in the rising stage of their careers. Whether they are tired or worried, they are one of the main killers of the health of young researchers.

For the sustainable development of individuals and scientific research, we should:

Establish a healthy work outlook and values, and develop healthy living and exercise habits. Regular work and rest, eating on time, and sleeping well are crucial to our health. On this basis, develop a good habit of exercise, do some stretching after working for a period of time, and insist on moderate-intensity exercise for about an hour every day. This can not only improve physical fitness, but also relieve work stress. Why not do it? .

I hope that scientific researchers who are struggling on the road can take good care of their bodies.
