Recently, the 10th meeting of the Smart Home Working Group (CCSA TC11/WG4) of the Mobile Internet Application and Terminal Technology Committee of China Communications Standards Association was successfully held in Suzhou. Smart home has become an important direction for the deep integration and innovative development of the information communication industry and home appliances and other industries. China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) took the initiative to adapt to the trend of accelerated evolution of fusion innovation, established a joint working group with China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA), held several standard formulation and publicity meetings, formulated a standard roadmap, and released a number of group standards , has made an important contribution to the high-quality development of my country's smart home industry.
This meeting discussed and reviewed the technical standard drafts and project approvals in many hot areas of smart home, including interconnection, home edge gateway, central control equipment and information security, etc. After careful review and heated discussions by the participating experts, a number of industry standards and association standards jointly led and participated by Xiaomi were passed, including "Technical Requirements for Smart Home System Networked Intelligent Central Control Equipment", "Smart Home System Networked Intelligent Central Control Equipment Test Method" and "Smart Home System Soft-AP-Based Wi-Fi Terminal Quick Distribution Network Test Method" and other 3 standards.
It is worth mentioning that with the gradual emphasis on user experience in the smart home industry in recent years, many industries such as communications and home appliances have gradually shifted from conducting standard research on device connection and communication protocols to people-centered and user-experience-oriented. Construct a standard system and carry out research on technical standards for the goal. At this meeting, the "Smart Home Product Distribution Network User Experience Evaluation" standard jointly led by Xiaomi passed the project discussion as the first cross-technical standard project.
For a long time, Xiaomi has actively contributed its advanced experience in technology research and development and business application in the field of smart home, and strived to promote the implementation of standards in products and services. Xiaomi has led and participated in the formulation of a number of group standards and industry standards for smart home interconnection (cloud-cloud interconnection and local interconnection), user experience, etc., as well as standard research in vertical fields such as home appliances, lighting, and security. The group standard T/CCSA 328-2021 (T/CHEAA 0019–2021) "Technical Requirements for Cross-platform Access and Identity Verification of Smart Home System" that Xiaomi participated in the compilation was successfully selected as the 2022 group standard application demonstration project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In addition, in 2022, China Tell Labs will evaluate and test the Xiaomi smart home system according to the group standard T/CCSA 357-2022 "Mobile Internet + Smart Home System User Experience Evaluation Method". It is the first smart home system to complete this evaluation in the whole house smart field.
