3. Disable Windows system services
By default, when WebSphere Application Server is installed, the installer adds instructions to automatically run the WebSphere Windows system service at startup. On a production server this is usually necessary, but on a development host, starting the entire application server at the beginning will not only slow down your startup, it will also conflict with the internally managed MyEclipse WebSphere. Therefore, you should disable this system service.
1. In Windows XP, click the Start menu, then select Control Panel, Administrative Tools and Services to find the list of system services. In Vista and Windows 7, open the Start menu and enter Services to find the link in the filter box.
2. In the Services window, scroll down to the service named IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.x that resembles the computer node name, right-click the service, and select Properties or double-click the entry to open its service properties.
3. Select Disabled or Manual from the Startup type drop-down list and click OK.
注意:如果该服务正在运行,在该窗口中点击Stop按钮。
