After the domain controller upgrade is complete, you need to manually clear the residual information of the old domain controller in the domain and configure the master domain controller.

4.14 Clear old domain controller information

1. Clear residual A records in DNS .

2. Log in to the domain controller, open "AD Sites and Services " , right-click "server" first " AD1" and select " Delete "

3.   Delete "AD2" and " AD2008 "

4.15 Configuring the Primary Domain Controller

Migrate the server role to DC01 and make it the primary domain controller

1. Open powershell and use the command to migrate the server role to DC01      

Enter the command Ntdsutil

Enter the command Roles

Enter the command Connections

Enter the command Connect to server DC01 to connect the fanuc-dc01 controller

Enter the command QUIT

Enter the Transfer infrastructure master command to transfer the infrastructure master to fDC01

Enter the Transfer naming master command to transfer the domain naming master to DC01

Enter the Transfer PDC command to transfer the primary domain controller role to DC01

Enter the Transfer RID master command to transfer the RID master to DC01

Enter the Transfer schema master command to transfer the schema master to dc01

Enter the netdom query fsmo command to view the current host information.
