detailed operation: a, installation

PE driver, enter PEmicro: http://www.pemicro.com/opensda/

Download PEDrivers_install.exe for manual install.

If you have installed:
Kinetis Design Studio installer for Microsoft Windows
or
Kinetis Design Studio installer for Linux 64-bit RPM 3.0.0,

you do not need to install the PE driver. It is strongly recommended to install the Kinetis suite.
 
2. Download the firmware Program, enter PEmicro: http://www.pemicro.com/opensda/

download Firmware Apps (.zip file). 3. After decompression, you can see the following icon: BOOTUPDATEAPP description, Bootloader upgrade package, OpenSDA description, version 1.14 The OpenSDA firmware program of each board of each board . To update Bootloader please follow these steps:

1. Enter bootloader mode (generally by holding down the target reset button on the OpenSDA board and plugging in the USB connection).

2. Drag and drop the BOOTUPDATEAPP.SDA file to the root directory of the Bootloader "drive".

3. Unplug and replug your OpenSDA board to initiate Bootloader update.  Bootloader update should take less than 15 seconds (probably averages 3 seconds).

4. Once update is complete, OpenSDA will automatically enumerate in Bootloader mode and green status LED will go on blinking with .5 second on/off intervals.

5. Run the SDA_INFO.HTM file in the root directory of the Bootloader "drive".

IMPORTANT: Please do not unplug OpenSDA while Bootloader is updating. You

can see from the webpage that the development board Bootloader has been upgraded to 1.11 (see the figure below)

5. Continue to update the Application Version:
Copy & paste or drag & drop the v
1.14 OpenSDA firmware applications (MSD-DEBUG-FRDM-KE02Z_Pemicro_v114.SDA ) into Bootloader disk / removable storage drive/ OpenSDA board;
 
6. Unplug and replug your OpenSDA board , It will appear as a removable storage drive with a volume label of FRDM-KE02Z.   The Freedom Board is now updated to the latest firmware and application

After completing the above steps, if you want to switch from OpenSDA 's debug and MSD modes, you no longer need to enter the Bootloader to choose between Debug or MSD firmware.
