WasmEdge Book Document Contribution Translation Recruitment | Raspberry Pi, Open Source Contribution Certificate

WasmEdge is a lightweight, high-performance WebAssembly Runtime optimized for cloud computing and edge computing. It is currently a sandbox project hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). WasmEdge supports all standard WebAssembly extensions as well as proprietary extensions for Tensorflow inference, networking, KV storage, and image processing. Its compiler toolchain supports not only WebAssembly languages such as C/C++, Rust, Swift, Kotlin and AssemblyScript, but also regular JavaScript .

WasmEdge applications can be embedded into C programs, Go programs, Rust programs, JavaScript programs, or the operating system's CLI. WasmEdge can be managed by Docker tools (such as CRI-O), orchestration tools (such as K8s) , serverless platforms , data flow frameworks .

WasmEdge has a wide range of applications in edge computing, SaaS extension, serverless functions, service mesh and decentralized applications.

In order to allow developers to get started with WasmEdge more quickly, the WasmEdge Book is now available.

In the WasmEdge Book, you can find out how to develop Wasm applications in different languages, how to embed WasmEdge in other language applications, how to use K8s related tools to orchestrate WasmEdge applications, and more.

If you want to develop Wasm apps in 2022, the WasmEdge Book will definitely help you!

The fly in the ointment is that the WasmEdge Book is currently only available in English. In order to facilitate the majority of Chinese developers to learn WasmEdge, we launched the WasmEdge Chinese translation activity, hoping to create a Chinese version of the WasmEdge Book with the community.

It is not difficult to become a contributor to CNCF open source projects. Many people start with document translation of open source projects, which is also an important way to become familiar with open source projects. When your PR is merged, don't forget to claim our gift for open source contributors.

All you have to do is:

Claim the issue on the WasmEdge GitHub Repo. After the translation is complete, submit a PR to WasmEdge. Once the PR is merged, wait for the gift to arrive.
