Introduction
Before installing, let’s briefly introduce the Horizon components and how they fit together:
Client Devices: laptops, PCs, thin client devices, Macs, tablets or mobile phones.
Horizon Connection Server: A software service that acts as a client connection agent. It authenticates users through Windows Active Directory and directs requests to the appropriate virtual machine, physical PC, or Microsoft RDS host.
Horizon Client: Client software used to access remote desktops and applications.
VMware Horizon User WebPortal: Through the web browser on the client device, end users can connect to remote desktops and applications through the browser, automatically launch the Horizon client, or download the Horizon client installer.
Horizon Agent: Used as a source of remote desktops and applications for all virtual machines, physical systems and installed services on the Microsoft RDS host. It communicates with the Horizon client and provides functions such as connection monitoring, virtual printing, Horizon role management, and access to locally connected USB devices.
Horizon Administrator: A web-based application that allows administrators to configure Horizon Connection Server, deploy and manage remote desktops and applications, control user authentication, and troubleshoot end-user issues.
View Composer: A service that can create a linked clone pool from a specified parent virtual machine.
vCenter Server: This service acts as the central administrator of VMware ESXi servers connected to the network. vCenter Server can centrally configure and manage virtual machines.
In this article, we will focus on Composer and Connection Server.

Start->Administrative Tools->Data Source(ODBC)-> System DSN and click Add...
Select SQL Server Native Client and click Finish
Enter the ODBC name, description, SQL Server (FQDN\Instance), and then click Next.
If you use the local express database, you can use Windows authentication. If not, you must use SQL Server authentication.
Change the default database to Composer DB, and then click Next.
Click Finish.
Test the data source, make sure all parameters and connections are correct, and click OK twice.

Install and connect to the replica server
Connecting to the replica server will generate an instance with View LDAP configuration, which is copied from an existing instance.
The installation steps are very similar to the installation steps for connecting to the server.
**difference:
**Choose Horizon7 Replica Server instead of Horizon 7 Standard Server.
You must select the service source (Standard Connection Server) and enter the FQDN.
Secure server
If your environment is relatively small, the Security Server is very useful because it can only connect to one connection server. This means that if there are multiple connections and replica servers, it will not be very efficient.
Unified Access Gateway (UAG) installation
UAG can connect to multiple connection and replica servers through a load balancer instead of a secure server.
