Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry

Section 2 Inventory Entry

1. The
location of the basic inventory entry menu: Basic Settings-Basic File-Inventory-Inventory File.

2. Planning method
: MPS, MRP, ROP.
The planning methods are different, the function modules are used differently, and the planning logic is also different.
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure 3-13
"Planning Attributes" in Figure 3-1, select entry in Figure 3-13.
The "planning method" in Figure 3-1 is set in the combination of 3, 4, and 5 in Figure 3-13: when the
planning method is MRP: 4 is set to R, and 3 is not checked.
When the planning method is MPS: 4 places are still set to R, and 3 places are checked at the same time.
When the planning method is ROP: 4 places are set to N, 5 places are checked.
Note that the "planning method" mentioned here does not refer to the "planning method" at 4 in Figure 3-13.
The ROP planning method is based on warehouse management, which is different from MPS/MRP. The inventory attribute of ROP parts must be "purchased parts", which generally does not appear in the BOM structure, and the average daily consumption is stable.
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure 3-14 In
this case, the inventory codes 020006 and 020007 are set as ROP items. The reorder point method is "manual", and the reorder point column is manually entered.
Take inventory 020006 as an example as shown in the figure below:
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Fig. 3-15
There are three rules for the reorder quantity of ROP pieces, which are set at 1 in Fig. 3-15 . In this case, it is set to "replenish to the highest inventory". Therefore, it is necessary to set the maximum inventory quantity as shown in Figure 3-16.

3. Ordering strategy The
ordering strategy includes: period PE, batch LP, and repetitive planning.
Basic meaning of ordering strategy:
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure 3-17
ordering strategy is invalid for ROP parts.
During the period, PE and batch LP are mutually exclusive, and the repetitive plan is only for materials whose inventory attributes are self-made parts. After the repetitive plan is checked, the parameters such as PE, LP, sales documentary, and order merge will become invalid.
In Figure 3-18 below, when you select "PE" in one place, you need to set the supply period type in two places. The period type includes day/week/month/time grid, and day/week/month should match the supply period and available date use. The time frame should be used in conjunction with the time frame code. The application method will be described with examples in the follow-up.
In this case, there are two PE parts: aluminum block (020003), PCB printed board (020004), no sales document, no order merger, no demand tracking.

4. Order quantity revision During the
organization process of production planning, it is necessary to consider factors such as economy, transportation convenience, etc., to revise the proposed order quantity of the planned order obtained after the MPS/MRP/ROP calculation. The revised data of this case is shown in Figure 3-2.
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry

Figure
3-19 In this case, the inventory codes of 010001, 010003, and 020005 use fixed supply quantities of 200 and 100, and the static safety stock quantity is 500 respectively. The setting of these quantities is as shown in
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure
3-20 and Figure 3-20. Static safety stock is also shown in Figure 3-21 to set the static safety stock.

5. Planning time parameters
Time parameters are time variables in planning and scheduling, mainly including fixed lead time and variable lead time. Fixed lead time mainly refers to the lead time in the procurement and production process, such as the time for contract negotiation in the early stage of procurement, and the preparation time for tooling and fixture before production. These times will not change with changes in purchases or production batches, and are relatively fixed. The variable lead time refers to the period of purchase or production, which changes with the change of purchase or production batch. For example, if it takes 5 days to produce 100 sets of A product, then it takes 15 days to produce 300 sets. The 100 units here is the change base, and the 5 days here is the change lead time.
The time attribute of each inventory in this case is shown in Figure 3-3. Enter according to the content in this table as shown in Figure 3-22.

6. Inventory-level replacement parts are
temporarily entered in Figure 3-23 for the replacement part 010004 for "010003 aluminum chassis", and the replacement date is 2019-03-15. After the demonstration, it will be cleared and will not participate in subsequent calculations.
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure 3-23
Application method of replacement parts:
When making a receipt for the inventory direction in the inventory management module (for example: business work-inventory management-material delivery-material delivery order, but not including references to production/subcontract orders Requisition), the available stock of the inventory is insufficient or other reasons, you can use the corresponding replacement parts to be shipped out.
The operation method is shown in Figure 3-24 below. When the main control circuit board A type 010003 is out of the library, you can first select the line with the cursor, and then click the replacement button at 2 to directly replace the single body material with "Main control circuit board B type 010004 ".
Chapter 3 Section 2 Inventory Entry
Figure 3-24
Replacement parts are divided into inventory level and BOM level. This section describes inventory level replacement. The application method of BOM level replacement is described in the MRP planning chapter.

7. Inventory-level demand time grid The
demand time grid is divided into inventory level and planning parameter level, which are described in this section as inventory level. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? The plan-level demand time fence is set in the MPS/MRP plan parameters and is described in the MPS/MRP chapter.
The relevant parameters of the two demand time grids in Figure 3-23 are used to generate the planned demand time grid of the inventory. It is not necessary to specify the planning period of the inventory level.

8. Free inventory In
this case, "000001/SA-1 product finished product" considers the free inventory. Check the "Consider free inventory" in the figure below. The specific usage will be described in the example.

Figure 3- 25

9. Demand Tracking In the
above figure, the premise of setting demand tracking method (by sales order number, order line number, demand classification code) is to check "Sales Documentary". For LP parts, "Sales Documentary" is checked by default and cannot be modified; for PE parts, "Sales Documentary" is checked by default [not] and can be modified. Under normal circumstances, PE parts do not do demand tracking.
The definition of inventory demand tracking in this case is shown in Figure 3-4.
The requirements and methods set by this department are only brought out in the follow-up documents, and the follow-up documents can be modified according to the actual situation, as shown in the figure below:

10. The quality inspection settings are
related to production as well as the settings under the quality tab. Do not check the "Quality Inspection" check box for the time being.
