In Shanghai, I saw these developers change the world with their passion

I went to Shanghai this weekend and was invited to the Huawei Full Connect 2020 site to see Huawei’s cutting-edge technology.

Shanghai, the magic capital of drunken gold fans, and the ten-mile foreign market that sings every night. There are also Huangpu River and plane trees. It is blurred, gentle, diverse, and rapidly changing. I have been to Shanghai many times, but this time it seems particularly meaningful to me.

This time I went with a lot of up masters, including Han Shijun, whom I have known for a long time, and Xiao Su, Christina, Teacher Xiao Pei, etc. who I have never had a face but have loved for a long time. I am equivalent to watching them since I was a child. The video grew up, and I'm so happy to be able to face them this time.

I had a meal with Xiaosu and Tina before the event started, because this is my first Vlog. I don’t even know how to shoot. Their two vlog veterans gave me a lot of suggestions. One day, all the material was scrapped because of the wrong aperture. They patiently comforted me to reshoot the next day before I had the vlog that everyone saw at station B.

The theme of this Huawei Connect 2020 is to create new value in the industry. I am a big data practitioner myself, so I was invited to talk with teacher Zhang Kun (Huawei Cloud Database Product Director) on the topic of the new generation of Huawei Cloud. Distributed database GaussDB (openGauss).

Zhang Kun: Director of Huawei Cloud Database Product
Zhang Kun: Director of Huawei Cloud Database Product

I paid attention to GaussDB before it was open sourced. As far as I know, it has been more than 10 years from GaussDB 100 to the open source GaussDB. The GaussDB product system includes existing mainstream relational databases, non-relational databases, and a series of database tools. service.

From GaussDB (For MySQL), we can see that GaussDB has a huge improvement in product performance, capacity, and scalability compared to MySQL.

During the one-hour live exchange with the sweeping monk, I also learned more about the past of GaussDB. It turns out that its developers are a group of programmers who are technologically sophisticated and full of "paranoia".

I saw a word in them: axis. This is exactly this kind of "axle" that allowed these engineers to persist for 12 years. After ups and downs, they ended up in the database field known as the "Crown Pearl" of basic software. Break through, break the cocoon and become a butterfly.

Remember a line of text in the video released by Huawei GaussDB:

Salute to mathematics, salute to scientists.

GaussDB not only contains Huawei's awe of mathematics and science, but also carries Huawei's persistence and dream of basic software.

After the live broadcast introduced the related content of the database, I also went to many other booths. I was shocked , and I only had this word in my mind when I walked around the exhibition.

2020 is destined to be an extraordinary year, for me, for everyone, and for Huawei.

In the face of difficulties, Huawei chose to open up its core technologies, software and hardware capabilities, and work with developers to drive the vigorous development of the full-scenario smart ecosystem. This is the belly and courage of large enterprises.

Newer, faster, stronger, and smarter, all innovations are aimed at driving humans to run faster. As a programmer, I better understand the restless nights behind those great architectures. Keep exploring and illuminate the future.

So what will Huawei's future look like?

When I asked Sun Wanqi (Minister of Huawei Cloud&AI Industry Development Department), he said that maybe the road is bumpy, but we are all full of confidence in the future. This confidence comes from every Huawei person who is striving for excellence, but also from the industry. Support from partners and developers.

The sky full of stars condenses into torches, illuminating the way Huawei is going, and the journey to the sea of stars.

I took this photo on the spot. Huawei programmers are fixing bugs. As an e-commerce company programmer, I particularly understand the feeling of being in place at any time.

Because of love, I am willing and willing to invest all my enthusiasm, and because of the sense of responsibility (year-end bonus), I don’t want to ignore it.

This is the first time I have been exposed to this kind of shooting, and it is also the first time I have filmed vlog. It is the first time to see so many up hosts. It is more tired than I thought, and more interesting than I thought.

Apart from chatting with them on video, we also talked a lot. On the way back, looking at the scenery outside the window, we couldn’t help feeling that there is no way to go in vain in life, and every step counts. From silently looking up to finally seeing, standing at a higher place can you meet better people.

In addition to the booth, there is also a developer carnival. This is Han Shijun's favorite link. As for why, I won't say more, just look at the picture.

There was also a band sang the theme song "Kunpeng" of Huawei Cloud and Computing. The lyrics made me deeply moved. We stood on this stage and felt the wind of the future. I believe there is a kind of light that only blooms in sweat.

After leaving the Huawei Full Connect 2020 site, I went to Monet’s "Sunrise Impression" painting exhibition. For programmers, the world's architecture is a combination of virtual and real, and logic connects the code to explain the theory and build the world. Rigorous and specific scientific performance.

Art is abstraction, fantasy, and release full of tension. The faintness of the Seine is clearly displayed by the blurred brushstrokes; the woman on the beach, love is outlined in her eyebrows...

After all, I don't understand these arts, nor do I understand the people who watch with tears in their eyes and worship. It's like a layman doesn't understand the various behaviors of programmers.

The rules of the world are like this. Xia Chong can't talk about it. We have too many things that we don't understand and understand. Outsiders seem stupid and crazy, but some people dedicate all of them, even their lives. Everything is for love, to leave a trace in a certain field.

Having said so much, I would like to show you the small tidbits behind the camera. Behind the glamour, we may laugh and play, but also weary and busy. The camera smiles like a flower, and behind the camera sits on the ground and pulls a box of lunch.

This time I thank Huawei for the invitation, thank you for meeting, and we have witnessed more possibilities of science and technology together; thank you for acquaintance, talking with like-minded people is really happy.

We are ordinary, and fortunate to be luminous individuals, and then illuminate each other, shining brightly.

Just like Monet's painting, some people say it's sunrise, some people say it's sunset. I don't wonder whether it is sunrise or sunset, but I know that meeting means parting.

What about parting, there are encounters in mountains and rivers, as long as we remain enthusiastic, there will always be a period after the meeting, and we will see you at a higher point in the end.

This is Ao Bing. Thank you for your likes, comments, and reposts. The more you know, the more you don’t know. See you in the next issue!
