VMware Centos7 installation process (graphic)
1. Download and install the necessary software
Software: VMware, version 15.5

Extraction code: g96e
Mirror: CentOS7, Tsinghua mirror source
Link: https://mirrors.tuna.tsinghua.edu.cn/centos/7.8.2003/isos/x86_64/
Note: The configuration of the host has certain requirements. At least I5CPU dual-core, 500G hard disk, 4G or more memory.
Two, configure the virtual machine
1. Open the VM and select a new virtual machine
2. Typical installation and custom installation
Typical installation: VMwear will apply mainstream configuration to the operating system of the virtual machine, which can be regarded as a quick installation.
Custom installation: Custom installation can strengthen some resources and remove unnecessary resources. Avoid waste of resources.
Generally speaking, a typical installation is fine.
3. Choose linux system mirror
4. Set the storage location and name of the image in the host
5. Virtual machine size, processor and memory allocation
The size of the disk is determined according to the capacity of the host, it is recommended to leave enough hard disk size for the host
Processor allocation should be allocated according to their actual needs. If the CPU is not enough during use, it can be increased. This time I only do a demonstration of installing CentOS, so choose 1. for both processor and core.
Memory should also be allocated according to actual needs. Try not to exceed half of the host's memory, here is also for demonstration, setting 1G memory.
The network connection is temporarily ignored, and the system can be configured after the system is installed.
Three, install CentOS7
After configuring the virtual machine, open the virtual machine and enter the installation page
The following interface will appear after turning on the virtual machine
- Install CentOS 7 Install CentOS 7
- Test this media & install CentOS 7 Test the installation file and install CentOS 7
- Troubleshooting
Select the first item, install CentOS7 directly, and enter the following page
Select the language used during the installation process, here select Chinese, and the keyboard select simplified Chinese. Click to continue.
What follows is some configuration of the installation, first we set the time zone and time
Select Shanghai as the time zone and check whether the time is correct. Then click Done
time zone to select Shanghai and check whether the time is correct. Then click Finish.
Select the format of the Linux system to be installed (default or graphical, etc.). If you want to be graphical, you need to select the GNOME desktop. Here we choose graphical installation.
Select the installation location, here you need to manually divide the disk.
Configure the four partitions /home, /boot, swap, and /, and then select Finish.
A window will pop up next, choose to accept the changes.
Then you can start to install the system, you can set the ROOT password during the installation process, and create a sub-user.
For demonstration, a password is randomly set here. If the prompt password is too simple, you need to click to complete the mandatory setting twice.
Wait for the installation to complete. After the
installation is complete, restart and enter the system. After
restarting, you need to accept a license agreement for Linux.
Next, configure the system language, time, username and password, etc., and then you can use CentOS7
Fourth, configure the network
After installing the VMware virtual machine and installing the Centos7 system, we need to configure the network.
In the experimental environment, using a fixed IP makes it more convenient to use in various environments.
We can use VMware's NET mode for network configuration.
Next, we enter the configuration process:
4.1 Configure VMware Network
1. Shut down the virtual machine whose configuration needs to be changed.
2. Click Edit Virtual Machine Settings-Network Adapter-NAT Mode (N): used to share Jurassic IP address, confirm.
3. In the VMware virtual machine task bar-edit (E)-virtual network editor-VMnet8-uncheck the use of the local DHCP service to assign an IP address to the virtual machine #Because we need a fixed IP, so we can not Directly let the virtual machine assign IP——change the subnet IP to: 192.168.137.0 #Because this network segment is the network segment assigned by windows to VMnet8-OK
Note: For windows, you need to give permission to change first
4.2 Configure the Internet connection sharing of the window
1. My computer-right-click properties in the blank space-control panel home page-network and internet-network and sharing center-change adapter settings-Ethernet (or local network) right-click properties-sharing-select Home network connection (H): VMware Network Adapter VMnet8-check: allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection-OK
4.3 Manually configure the network configuration in the Centos7 system
cd /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
ls #找到当前网络配置文件为ifcfg-ens33
sudo vim ifcfg-ens32
#修改如下网络配置
BOOTPROTO=static #以静态方式获取IP
IPADDR=192.168.137.7 #IP地址为192.168.137.7(192.168.137.0网段内)
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.137.1 #网关需要与IP在一个网段内
DNS1=192.168.137.1
ONBOOT=yes #开机启动网卡
:wq #保存退出
sudo systemctl restart network #重启网卡
sudo systemctl enable network #开机启动网卡
Five, test
ifconfig #查看网卡信息
ping www.baidu.com #能PING通就是联网成功
