1. Go to Sougou's official website to download the LINUX version of Sogou Chinese Input Method, URL: https://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/?r=pinyin
2. Download the installation package, enter the Dowloads folder and enter the command
sudo dpkg -i xxxx(安装包名字).deb
3. After installation, open the system settings button, click languageSupport (blue icon), if the error Software database is broken pops up , we enter the following command to repair:
sudo apt-get install -f
After the command is run, reopen languageSupport, if it pops up THe language support is not install completely asking you to install it, click install to enter the password and wait for the installation. After the installation is complete, switch the Keyboard input method system option from IBUS at the bottom of the pop-up window For fcitx.
4. After installation, click the small keyboard icon in the upper right corner, then click the configure button in the drop-down menu, and click the + sign in the lower left corner in the pop-up option box
5. Remove the tick in the lower left corner of the pop-up option box, search sog and you will find the sougou input method, click OK to add it, then click on the small keyboard in the upper right corner, and there will be an option for sougou input method, then install it finished
