Kali installs Chinese input method (Sogou input method)

(Creating is not easy, remember to like it)

Kali Linux does not come with a Chinese input method. The following provides a simple tutorial for installing the Sogou input method.

1. Log in to the official website of Sogou and find the download page of Sogou Input Method for Linux. Sogou input method linux-homepage Sogou input method for linux—supports Quanpin, Jianpin, fuzzy sound, cloud input, skin, mixed input of Chinese and English https://shurufa.sogou.com/linux

2. Click Download Now.

3. The page that appears only has the installation package in deb format, which is what kali uses. Select the corresponding installation package (such as x86_64) according to the processor architecture and download it.

4. After the download is complete, find the folder where the installation package is located, and open it in the terminal.

5. Enter "sudo apt install ./(fill in the full name of the installation package here)" in the terminal and wait for the installation to complete (I have already installed it here).

After that, you can choose to restart, and then configure the input method at the input method icon in the upper right corner, so I won’t go into details here.

Note:

1. Step 5 Use the function of apt to install local packages to install the Sogou input method. The install must be followed by the local path, otherwise apt will search for it from the Internet. In addition, the relative path used in step 5 can also be changed to an absolute path.

2. Sudo must be used.
