According to some foreign media, though the price of 1 bitcoin shows a slump this year, the Crytocurrency Conference is still a big event.
This week, CoinDesk, the famous Bitcoin news website is going to hold a three-day-Consensus Conference in New York, with the ticket price reaching $2000. It’s estimated that there is about 4000 attendees this year, much higher than the last year’s 2700, still less the first session’s 400. Therefore, the minimum of the revenue of this conference is up to $8 million.

However, it seems that people are deeply divided over the conference. Supporters such as Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter, is going to give a speech on the conference and claims the convention as a great opportunities for people to exchange their viewpoint and discuss things they are doing now. However, there is criticism about the sky-high ticket price.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin tweeted on April 26 that he is boycotting Consensus this year partly because of the high ticket price and criticized the organizer for posting the so-called split scam about Ethereum.
But to tell the truth, this sort of meeting or convention is actually a driver to push up the price or, at least, to drag the price back. According to data from a crytocurrency analysis website, the current bitcoin price is $8,705.22 USD , and it seems that the crytocurrency market has recovered and gained power again.It shows a good momentum to grow.
