Python exercise 15 - Reverse Word Order

Python exercise 15 - Reverse Word Order

Exercise 15 (and Solution)
Write a program (using functions!) that asks the user for a long string containing multiple words. Print back to the user the same string, except with the words in backwards order. For example, say I type the string:

  My name is Michele
Then I would see the string:

  Michele is name My
shown back to me.

Code 1: split & join

def reverseWord(w):
  return ' '.join(w.split()[::-1])

astr=str(input('Please enter a long str containing multiple words: '))
print (reverseWord(astr))

Code 2:

def reverse_v2(x):
  y = x.split()
  return " ".join(y[::-1])
print (reverse_v2(astr))

Code 3: reverse

def reverse_v3(x):
  y = x.split()
  return " ".join(reversed(y))
print (reverse_v3(astr))

Code 4: innsert

def reverse_v4(x):
	y = x.split()
	result = []
	for word in y:
		result.insert(0,word)
	return " ".join(result)
print (reverse_v4(astr))
