芝诺的知识圆圈
古希腊哲学家芝诺的学生曾经问过他一个问题：“老师，你的知识比我们的要多很多倍。你回答问题总是正确的，但为什么你总是这么谦虚呢？”
芝诺在黑板上画了一个小圈和一个大圈，说道：“我们的知识就像一个圆圈。圈内是你知道的东西，圈外是你不知道的东西。大圈子的区域是我的知识，小圈子的区域是你的知识，所以我的知识比你的知识更多。但在这两个圈子之外，是你和我不知道的事情。大圆的圆周比小圆的圆周大，这样我可能有更多的知识，但我也意识到了——还有更多我不知道的事情。这就是我谦虚的原因。”
